EXPERTISE IN PETROLEUM MARKETING
Bill Gottfried received a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Marketing from The University of Tulsa located in Tulsa, Oklahoma; The City of Tulsa has had the moniker "Oil Capital of The World" and the city was transformative in the history of the U.S. and international oil and gas business.
Following graduation from The University of Tulsa, Bill was commissioned a U.S. Naval Officer and was ordered to duty as a Petroleum Supply Officer in the Middle East where he managed petroleum shipments and refined product tanker scheduling (300,000 b/d) for the Department of Defense in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iran, and Yemen.
During his time in the Middle East, Bill worked on refined product supply scheduling, refinery runs scheduling, product pipeline scheduling, and product tanker scheduling from the major loading ports and supply terminals in the Arabian Gulf Region, including Sitra Bahrain, Ras Tanura Saudi Arabia, Shuaiba Kuwait, Abadan Iran, and Aden Yemen.
Following military service in the Middle East, Bill was a Petroleum Supply Analyst with Mobil Oil Corporation in Chicago where he managed petroleum marketing activities and refined product shipments in the Mid-West Region of the United States. Later in his career, Bill managed refined product allocation programs at the Federal Energy Office at The White House serving in three Presidential Administrations. Bill later worked with the consulting firm Booz-Allen & Hamilton, Inc. in Washington DC and Houston on petroleum marketing assignments for U.S. and international energy clients.
We have developed an excellent understanding of petroleum marketing, from the refinery gate, through pipeline and tanker shipments, through mid-stream supply and distribution channels all the way through to end users of refined petroleum products.
