Bill and Danielle Gottfried established The Kidney Research Institute of Texas to support investment in kidney disease research and technology innovation to improve the lives of kidney patients. Our goals are to raise awareness of the global pandemic of kidney disease and to accelerate investment in kidney disease research, kidney disease prevention, and technology innovation to improve patient care, including the acceleration of dialysis technology innovation, renal replacement therapies, and the development of an artificial kidney.
We are committed to improving the lives of kidney patients and ending the global kidney disease pandemic; one-third of the world's population is at risk for kidney disease according to National Kidney Foundation data.
This Institute was established in memory of family members who have suffered from, and died from, kidney disease, including Bill Gottfried's Father, Henry William Gottfried, Jr., CDR, U.S. Navy.
We are conducting a global search for the best and brightest Nephrologists, kidney research specialists, and advanced technology innovators to join our Advisory Board with the goal to accelerate investment in kidney disease prevention, research, and technology innovation to improve the lives of kidney patients.
